Message transfer

The objective of this WP is on the design and evaluation of protocols required for the message transfer
in wireless networks based on the “links-on-the-fly” concept. The design takes into account the specific characteristics of lossy distributed communication as well as the communication requirements for information dissemination and group communication for disaster recovery and V2V scenarios. Novel protocols for MAC and network layer will be designed, analysed and their performance will be evaluated. The best candidates of MAC and routing protocol will be implemented over RESCUE SDR platform. Key challenges of the system – cross-layer design, node coordination, rate optimization and decentralized congestion control – will be specifically addressed.

[WP3: Message transfer] The objective of this WP is on the design and evaluation of protocols required for the message transfer in public safety and V2V scenarios based on the “links-on-the-fly” concept. Task 3.1 designs a MAC protocol that ensures medium access and reliability. An adaptive routing solutions and its validation over the RESCUE testbed is conducted in Task 3.2. Coordination, and rate adaptation for efficient message exchange is done in Task 3.3.
