Theoretical analyses for limit and rate-distortion region

This work package will provide the targeted applications and specification requirements for other WPs and model based validation. In fact, WP1 defines the targeted Public safety and V2V use cases that will constitute the general framework of our project. Therefore we start from these defined use cases then derive performance limits and theoretical bounds for these specific network topologies when lossy links are observed. We investigate also in this WP wireless access technologies, including multi-antenna techniques, most suitable to the results theoretical results obtained earlier for the specified use cases.

WP1: Theoretical analyses for limit and rate-distortion region] In many cases of networks having massive lossy intra-links (or multiple routes) with various topologies the limit analysis itself is an open question. Hence, the progress of the limit analyses in WP1 is step-by-step, by making/eliminating approximations. Task 1.1 identifies scenarios, small to large scale models, and technical requirements for them. According to the scenario models identified by Task 1.1, performance limits of the network topologies having lossy links are analyzed in Task 1.2, and the wireless access technologies, including multi-antenna techniques, most suitable to the results of Task 1.2, is to be identified in Task 1.3.
